Review of Haugen Pensjonat, LongyearbyenDuring our family vacation in Longyearbyen, we chose to stay at Haugen Pensjonat, and it proved to be an excellent fit for us. Located just a 10-minute stroll from the center, the hotel is convenient for exploring the scenic beauty of Svalbard. Elena, the manager, was welcoming and provided valuable tips about our surroundings, helping us feel at home. The communal kitchen was a highlight for us, equipped with assigned cupboards and a mini-fridge for each room. It was an inviting space where we enjoyed preparing meals as a family and sharing experiences with fellow travelers over cups of tea. The shared bathrooms were surprisingly clean and efficient, with no waits, which eased our usual concerns about shared facilities. Our family room featured a comfortable couch, which was perfect for unwinding after busy days of exploration. With plenty of outdoor activities suitable for children under 16 available nearby, like the beautiful walks with stunning mountain views right outside, our stay was both enjoyable and engaging. For families visiting Longyearbyen, Haugen Pensjonat offers a warm atmosphere and practical amenities that made our trip memorable.
